Kofi Owusu Aduonum, husband of Guinness World Record singathon hopeful Afua Asantewaa, has revealed that she is preparing to drop a new song.
He made the disclosure during an appearance on United Showbiz on April 11, 2026, where he was asked about Afua’s earlier claim that he had taken sole control of their shared home.
Rather than dwell on the issue, he responded with humour and quickly shifted focus to his wife’s music plans, noting that she is currently working on fresh material.
He also used the moment to extend a playful request to gospel artiste Empress Gifty, who was hosting the programme, asking her to collaborate on the upcoming track.
“You know Afua is about to be single, and she wants to feature you. If you give me the opportunity, I will sing an excerpt of the song… Put yourself in this song, and you will hear from us, Afua Asantewaa featuring Gifty Adorye,” he said.
Since the interview aired, the exchange has generated mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised Aduonum for handling the question with calmness and maturity, others were less impressed with his response.
