Fresh details have emerged in the arrest case involving social media commentator WebkidAfrika, privately known as Abdul Gafaru Sadi, after his lawyer identified Afro-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy as the complainant in the matter.
Speaking during an interview on Asempa FM on May 11, 2026, the lawyer disclosed that the blogger, widely known for his strong support for Shatta Wale, is currently facing four separate charges. The offences, he said, include publication of false news against Stonebwoy, offensive conduct, and acts considered likely to disturb public peace.
According to the lawyer, the charge sheet specifically named Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly called Stonebwoy, as the complainant in the case. He explained that the musician was identified in the document as a resident of Adjirigano.
The lawyer’s remarks have, however, contradicted earlier comments from Stonebwoy’s public relations representative, Vida Adutwumwaa, who denied claims that the musician influenced the arrest.
During an interview with ZionFelix at the 2026 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards on May 9, Vida insisted that law enforcement officials acted on their own and that people should not associate Stonebwoy with the arrest.
“It is not in Stonebwoy’s power to cause the arrest of anybody. All we saw was that there was a court order and the guy was picked up,” she said.
Vida also suggested that WebkidAfrika’s own conduct on social media may have contributed to the situation. She alleged that the blogger had been attacking and disrespecting several high-profile personalities online, including the Asantehene.
“We later saw that the person has been insulting various important personalities like the Asantehene and others on his social media handles. So if someone like that has been arrested, people should not instantly assume that it is Stonebwoy,” Vida stated.
Below is the lawyer’s explanation.
