Love, not religion, will decide who Ghanaian musician Black Sherif eventually marries, the artist has revealed while speaking about his future plans for marriage and relationships.
In a resurfaced interview, the “Kwaku the Traveller” hitmaker spoke candidly about his personal life after being asked whether he sees himself marrying a Muslim or a Christian.
For Black Sherif, faith is not the factor that will influence such a major decision. He explained that his choice of partner will be based entirely on genuine love, insisting that it is something he cannot compromise on.
“I’m marrying who I love. You understand, trust me that’s like, non negotiable whether Christian or a Muslim,” he said.
The conversation later shifted to when he plans to walk down the aisle, but the musician admitted he has not set any timeline for marriage.
According to him, the future is in God’s hands, and he believes the right moment will come naturally when the time is due.
“But say when I dey marry, that question ask me later. For now e dey my maker ein hand,” Black Sherif stated.
Although he remains uncertain about when marriage will happen, Black Sherif made it clear that one thing will always shape that decision: love.
