Shock and sadness have swept across Ghana’s entertainment industry following reports of the death of actress Beverly Afaglo.
The heartbreaking news was shared by her husband, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster or Praye Honeho of the music group Praye, in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
In the tribute, the musician opened up about the pain of losing his wife just days before her birthday, describing her as his source of strength, happiness and support throughout their life together.
He wrote:
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo!!! It would have been just like 4 More days to your birthday but I guess the Lord wanted to Celebrate with you so he Called you 🙏😢 You were my strength, My Happiness, and the reason my life felt Complete.
Every Moment with you was a blessing I will Cherish Forever !!
I am hearing your voice right Now Cheering me up as always my Number one☝️fan!! I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started !! Until my last breath, you will remain in My Heart ❤️ Forever!!! Sleep well my babe!!!

Following the announcement, fans, colleagues and sympathisers flooded social media with tributes, remembering Beverly Afaglo for her presence in Ghana’s movie industry and the impact she made over the years.
The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed. She was 42 years old.
