Famous Ghanaian artiste Shatta Wale has opened up about his personal life, revealing that he is currently in a polygamous relationship involving two women who are fully aware of each other and share the same home.
He made the revelation during his appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast on July 27, 2026, where he discussed his relationship experiences and explained why he chose a different approach to companionship.
Responding to a question about his relationship status, Shatta Wale said he is no longer single and described himself as being committed to two partners.
“No, I’m not single. I’m married and I have two wives now. I don’t want to lie about it,” he said.
The dancehall artiste explained that his decision was influenced by difficulties he encountered in previous monogamous relationships, particularly concerns surrounding trust and openness.
According to Shatta Wale, past relationships often struggled because he felt his partners had difficulty trusting him, a situation he said affected the stability of those relationships.
“I’ve been in single relationships that have not really helped me. Like the trust, they don’t trust me,” he disclosed.
He added that his current arrangement works because it is built on honesty, trust and understanding among everyone involved.
Shatta Wale further disclosed that his two partners know each other personally and have accepted living together, describing their relationship as one based on mutual respect.
“But the women I’m with right now, they trust me. They know each other and they live in the same house,” the ‘Freedom’ composer indicated.
