Fameye Reveals Why He Is Hesitant To Write A Verse For Showboy

Fameye

Fameye has opened up about his relationship with Showboy, acknowledging the outspoken musician’s contribution to his career while admitting that he is cautious about accepting a request to write a verse for him.

According to Fameye, Showboy has shown him considerable support over the years, particularly by promoting his music at important moments. However, he said Showboy’s unpredictable approach to public commentary makes him unsure about collaborating with him.

The singer shared his thoughts during an interview on 4Syte TV, where he reflected on the support he received from Showboy, including the promotion of his collaboration with Medikal, Addiction.

“Showboy has been very supportive when it comes to my brand. I had a song with Medikal titled Addiction, and at the time he pushed that song so much. It was all thanks to Showboy,” Fameye said.

Fameye was then asked about Showboy’s request for him to write a verse for him. While he did not reject the idea outright, he admitted that he would have to think carefully before making a decision.

His concern, he explained, is that Showboy could later turn on him despite whatever help he offers.

“As for his request to write a verse for him, I will think about it because he will later insult me,” he said.

The relationship between the two musicians, however, appears to extend beyond music. Fameye revealed that he stayed in contact with Showboy even during the period he was serving a prison sentence.

He described Showboy as a friend he values, although he conceded that there are aspects of the musician’s personality that make it difficult for him to speak freely about their relationship.

“Even when he was in prison, I used to speak with him. He’s a good friend, but you see, Showboy is also questionable. I can’t say everything because of his character. Even with this video that you have forced me to speak, he will insult me,” he said.

Despite his reservations, Fameye maintained that he has genuine appreciation for Showboy and the role he has played in supporting his career.

He also revealed that he regularly watches Showboy’s content and can sometimes find his controversial style amusing, although he believes the musician should tone down his insults.

“I really appreciate him. I see his content, and I love it. Sometimes his insults excite me, but he should reduce them. A very big thanks to him. He has really helped me. Big love for his recent comment about Gen Z,” the ‘Notin I Get’ singer further stated.

Below is a video of his statement.
