Ghanaian actress Priscilla Opoku Agyeman, popularly known as Ahuofe Patricia, has opened up about the loneliness she has experienced since losing her mother, revealing that the feeling has made her yearn for a child.
The actress made the revelation during an interview with Nana Romeo, where she spoke candidly about her personal life, relationships and her thoughts on marriage.
Ahuofe Patricia said she sometimes finds the loneliness difficult to deal with and believes having a child could bring companionship and a greater sense of purpose to her life.
“It gets very lonely, and at this point, I wish for anything, a child, but not a man, though. I wish I had a child,” she said.
Rather than making marriage her immediate priority, the actress said she would prefer to have a child first. She explained that the many stories of marriages ending in divorce have also made her cautious about rushing into a relationship.
When asked why she had not had a child despite openly expressing her desire to become a mother, Ahuofe Patricia said she is yet to meet a man with whom she feels she can build the kind of future she wants.
“I haven’t met the man who wants to impregnate me. The person’s actions and attitude would make me notice whether he wants to take me seriously and settle down.
“I am not really motivated to get married right now. There are a lot of things that scare me. I know someone who got married for only three weeks. I want to make sure my child has a very good foundation. I am a virgin,” Ahuofe Patricia further stated.
