Veteran Ghanaian rapper Tic Tac has recalled how his reserved nature around women when he was younger led some people to question his sexuality.
The rapper said his upbringing played a major role in shaping how he related to women, including periods when he had little or no interest in pursuing intimacy.
Speaking during a discussion on Adom TV on September 27, 2026, Tic Tac said his behaviour was sometimes misunderstood, with some people openly telling him they believed he was gay.
“I didn’t like women too much, so some people thought I was gay. People used to tell me that I’m gay, but it’s because of my upbringing,” he said.
Tic Tac explained that his lack of interest could become so strong that even when he was alone with a woman, he could suddenly lose the desire to take things further.
He said he would sometimes resort to excuses to avoid intimate encounters when he no longer felt attracted to the woman.
“If a woman should strip herself naked in front of me, I will run away. I can take a woman to my room and when it’s time to have fun, I would give an excuse that my stomach was paining me,” he disclosed.
According to the rapper, he never saw a reason to force himself into an intimate situation once his feelings had changed. Instead, he chose to listen to his instincts and leave when he felt he could not continue.
“That’s because the feeling is no longer there. Something is telling me I can’t do anything with you, and I will follow it. I will be sweating profusely and you might think it’s pressure. I can even leave you inside and walk out,” Tic Tac further stated.
