Prophet Kumchacha has criticised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership over what he describes as a failure to respond to the growing use of insults and hate speech against President John Dramani Mahama on social media.
According to the preacher, the continued attacks online could gradually damage the public image of the Mahama administration if the party’s leadership does not take the issue seriously.
Speaking on United Showbiz in a discussion shared online on September 27, 2026, Kumchacha questioned why NDC leaders had remained largely silent while some social media users repeatedly targeted the President with insults.
“I am very disappointed in most of the leaders of the NDC. My reason for saying this is because if you go on social media, it’s like some people have been contracted to insult President John Dramani Mahama.
“I don’t know if the leaders of the NDC are stingy or something, because it seems the people who speak on the radio or TV have toned down and are watching this disgusting thing happen,” he said.
Kumchacha argued that the situation should concern the governing party, particularly because he believes opposition supporters could use the online attacks to turn public sentiment against the President.
He maintained that allowing the insults to continue unchecked could make the government’s work harder by creating a negative perception of the administration.
“They are making President Mahama’s administration unpopular with the insults. I still don’t understand why they will just keep quiet. They will stay mute unless the NPP overthrows them with this hate speech,” Prophet Kumchacha further stated.
