‘Wendy Was So Polite’ – Reggie Rockstone Defends Singer Over Lasmid Incident

Reggie Rockstone

Reggie Rockstone has rejected the criticism surrounding Wendy Shay after a video showing her removing Lasmid’s hand from her thigh attracted attention online.

The veteran musician discussed the incident with his wife and argued that Wendy Shay was within her rights to respond as she did, stressing that personal boundaries must be respected regardless of the relationship between two people.

He also questioned the need for the backlash against Wendy, pointing out that Lasmid did not appear to take offence at the interaction captured in the video.

“No man or woman on God’s green earth has the authority to touch your body without your permission. I can touch my wife’s breast.

“Wendy was so polite; she took his hand off, and she put her elbow on his knee. If Lasmid was uncomfortable with that, it would be his right to kick her hands,” he stated in a video shared on Instagram on September 30, 2026.

Rockstone believes the incident should prompt a broader conversation about consent and the importance of respecting another person’s physical boundaries.

Rather than joining those criticising Wendy Shay, he called on women to support her and recognise the way she handled the situation.

“To the ladies, you should stand up for your sister, and you should know better… What Wendy did should be a poster girl for all women advocates,” Reggie Rockstone further stated.
