Mzbel has challenged one of the most widely held beliefs about Heaven. She argued that death is not the only way a person can get there while backing Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams’ account of his reported spiritual journey.
The musician believes people can experience Heaven while they are still alive and has linked such experiences to what she describes as astral projection.
Her comments follow a recent account by the founder of Action Chapel International, who told his congregants about what he described as a supernatural encounter in which he was taken out of his body and shown various things in Heaven.
Duncan-Williams said the experience lasted approximately one hour and 45 minutes. He recalled being taken to a high mountain where he saw grass that appeared to him to be made of diamonds, among other sights he described as remarkable.
The account has since generated discussion about whether a living person can have a spiritual experience of Heaven, with Mzbel adding her voice to the conversation.
According to the musician, Heaven should not necessarily be viewed as a destination that can only be reached after death. She suggested that some pastors may be reluctant to discuss the subject differently because they have already taught their congregations that death is necessary before a person can enter Heaven.
“Heaven is not a place we have to die before we can go. Heaven is a real place, but pastors cannot tell you the truth that it is a real place because they have already told you that you need to die first before you can go to heaven,” she said.
Mzbel further explained her position through the concept of astral projection, which she described as the ability to leave the physical body and travel through different spiritual realms.
The 46-year-old singer claimed that access to such experiences is not restricted to ordinary people, alleging that wealthy and influential individuals around the world also have the means to experience them.
“If you know about astral projection, you can always go to heaven. If you have money, you can go to heaven. There are vessels that take people to heaven on a daily basis. Elon Musk, Donald Trump and others all go to heaven regularly,” she said.
The musician also rejected the suggestion that Duncan-Williams’ account should simply be dismissed as false. Instead, she argued that the preacher’s description aligns with what she believes Heaven looks like.
Mzbel drew comparisons between the archbishop’s account and the worlds portrayed in science fiction films, suggesting that some of the beings depicted in those productions could represent what she calls angels.
“Heaven is not a place you have to die to go to. These pastors know this, but they refuse to tell you. So, what Duncan-Williams is saying is not a lie. If you watch science fiction movies, whatever they portray is what heaven looks like. The beings there are what we call angels because they are high-vibration beings,” she further stated.
She also introduced another unusual element to her explanation, claiming that people could reach Heaven through rockets travelling into space.
According to Mzbel, after reaching a particular point, a person could encounter what she described as a submarine and use it to continue the journey to Heaven.
