The Editor of The Finder Newspaper, Elvis Darko has stated that various leaders in the country are afraid to speak on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) issue in the country for fear of being denied visa to the Western Countries.
The issue on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) are being discussed on various platforms after they opened their office in Ghana.
Elvis Darko on his Facebook wall noted that most leaders in the country are afraid to comment on the LGBTQI for fear of being denied visa.
“Many religious, political, CSO, Media leaders are afraid to speak on the LGBTQI issue for fear of being denied visa to western countries.”
The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference(GCBC) through its President, Most Reverend Philip K. Naameh has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to close down the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender and Queer Intersex Rights (LGBTQI) office which was opened in Ghana in late January 2021.
