Prophet Telvin Predicts Tough Friendlies but Strong World Cup Run for Black Stars

Black Stars of Ghana

Prophet Telvin Adjei Sowah is back in the spotlight as conversations around the Ghana national team intensify after a heavy pre-World Cup defeat.

Months before the latest setback, the Leader of the Prophetic Life Embassy had shared what he described as a spiritual glimpse into the future of the Black Stars. Speaking in November 2025 during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, he cautioned that the team would falter in their preparatory friendly matches ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, those early disappointments would not define the squad. Instead, they would serve as a necessary phase, sharpening the team for a stronger showing when the tournament begins.

He went further to project a deep run at the competition, pointing to a place in the quarter-finals and hinting at the possibility of pushing into the last four.

“We will lose the friendlies, but when we enter the World Cup, you will see that it is a different world altogether… the clarity of what I saw is the quarter-final. We were fighting over 3rd and 4th, yes, that is what I saw until I saw the catalyst and stopped to deal with it…” he said.

The old interview has now gained fresh traction online, circulating widely after the Black Stars suffered a 5–1 defeat to Austria in a friendly match played in Vienna on March 27, 2026.

The result has reignited debate, with some pointing to the loss as evidence that the prophecy is unfolding, carrying both warning signs and hopeful undertones.

Still, the true weight of the prediction will only become clear when the Black Stars take to the global stage and their World Cup journey plays out.
