Fameye Seeks Peace With Shatta Wale As Friendship Turns Cold

Fameye and Shatta Wale

Ghanaian artiste Fameye has spoken candidly about a growing distance between him and dancehall star Shatta Wale, saying he hopes to restore their bond and eventually collaborate again.

In an interview with Joy Prime on April 16, 2026, Fameye said the relationship that once brought them close has now cooled without warning, leaving him puzzled about what changed.

He explained that their friendship used to be active and supportive, with frequent conversations and even discussions about recording songs together.

But according to him, the connection has since weakened in a way he did not expect.

“One person I really need his verse on my song is Shatta Wale, but it seems he’s upset with me. We were very good friends, and we used to talk a lot. We were even planning to have records together. I don’t know what happened, but all of a sudden, he’s not minding me,” he said.

Fameye added that he has no idea what may have caused the shift, insisting he has always carried himself with good intentions in his dealings.

“I don’t know if I said something about him somewhere, and he’s not happy with it. To the best of my knowledge, I’m a very genuine person. I do things with clear intentions so even if I did something, it’s not in a bad way,” he explained.

He further noted that their communication has completely broken down, saying Shatta Wale no longer replies to his messages.

“At first, we used to communicate on a daily basis, but now, he doesn’t respond to my messages,” he lamented.

Despite the silence between them, Fameye maintained respect for Shatta Wale, praising both his artistry and character.

He stressed that his interest in reconnecting is not only about securing a feature but also rebuilding a personal relationship.

“I just want him to know I love him, I listen to his songs and I like his personality. I really need his verse in my studio, but it’s not just because I need him in my studio, but I feel he’s a nice person to work with and I want to be close to him,” Fameye further stated.
