A public disagreement has emerged between actress Fella Makafui and actor John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, over claims that she failed to check on him during his battle with illness.
The issue surfaced after an interview with Drogba, shared on TikTok by “The Village Blogger”, in which the actor suggested that Fella had not visited or contacted him since his health challenges began.
Reacting in the comments section of the post, Fella questioned whether the interview was recent, insisting that she and Drogba have been in communication.
The former YOLO actor, who became a fan favourite alongside Drogba through their on-screen chemistry as Serwaa and Drogba, rejected suggestions that she had ignored him.
“I hope this video is not new because that will be surprising. We’ve been communicating lately for anyone asking,” Fella wrote.
Drogba’s remarks were originally made during an interview with Sammy Kay Media that aired on May 29, 2026. During the conversation, he claimed Fella had not personally reached out to him after he fell ill.
According to him, when news of his condition first emerged, Fella contacted actor Jeffery Nortey to ask about his wellbeing rather than speaking to him directly.
He said Jeffery Nortey found the move unusual because he believed Fella already had Drogba’s personal number.
“Fella Makafui hasn’t reached out. When the thing came, she reached out to Jeffery Nortey. She has my number, so Jeffery Nortey was surprised. Later, she reached out to me with a different number and asked me when I was free. I told her I am always free, and since then, I haven’t heard from her,” Drogba stated.
Apart from Fella Makafui, Drogba also spoke about other industry colleagues he had contacted for support. He mentioned names including Salma Mumin, Kisa Gbekle and John Dumelo, saying that despite reaching out, he had not received assistance from them.
