“How Can A Man of God Bring His Wife Matter to the Pulpit?” – Kofi Oduro Subtly Jabs Obinim

Prophet Kofi Oduro

Prophet Kofi Oduro, founder of Alabaster International Ministry, has appeared to take a swipe at fellow preacher Bishop Daniel Obinim over the public handling of personal marital issues during church services.

Addressing his congregation on July 5, 2026, Prophet Oduro stressed that ministers should exercise restraint and protect the honour of the pulpit instead of turning family disputes into topics for public discussion before their congregations.

He argued that spiritual leaders carry a responsibility to demonstrate maturity, fairness and accountability, insisting that personal disagreements with a spouse should never overshadow the purpose of ministry.

“How can a man of God come to the pulpit and bring his wife matter? You’re a very stupid person because we expect you to hold responsibility, my brother. We expect you to be like a father who doesn’t take sides. We expect you to uphold the integrity of the pulpit. That is what we expect you to do. Anybody who stands in the capacity of a prophet of God doesn’t fool around,” Prophet Oduro said.

While he avoided mentioning anyone by name, the remarks follow a series of public comments by Bishop Daniel Obinim concerning his marriage to gospel musician Florence Obinim.

In recent weeks, Obinim has used church services to speak about challenges in his marriage, claiming that his wife had shown him disrespect and was keeping company with people he disapproved of.

He also told members of his church that, in the event of his death, he wanted the church, rather than his wife, to oversee his funeral arrangements.

Days later, on June 30, 2026, the preacher revealed that he had chosen to let the matter rest, saying he reached the decision after receiving what he described as divine instruction.

Below is a video of what he said.
