“I Used Ajagurajah to Win Souls for Christ” – Ajagurajah Opens Up on Past Ministry

Spiritual leader Bishop Kwabena Boakye Asiamah, well known as Ajagurajah, has opened up about his years as a charismatic pastor, claiming that the influence behind his ministry was not Christ but what he describes as the “Ajagurajah spirit.”

In an interview with Roselyn Feli, the founder of the Ajagurajah Movement revisited his time preaching in churches, saying that although he appeared and operated like other charismatic ministers, his spiritual approach was different.

Ajagurajah said he helped bring many people into Christianity during that period, but he believes the results were achieved through his own spiritual identity rather than the power of Christ.

He also disclosed that he spoke in tongues during church services because it was a widely accepted practice among pastors, even though he did not fully understand the words he was uttering.

“I won a lot of souls for Christ. I spoke in tongues because everybody else was speaking in tongues; I never really understood it. I never used Christ to win souls for Him. I used Ajagurajah to win souls for Christ,” he said.

The spiritual leader explained that his outward image as a pastor masked the practices he was privately engaged in at the time.

According to him, the major distinction between himself and other spiritual figures was that he wore clerical clothing and led Christian gatherings, while his personal spiritual activities continued beyond the church setting.

“At that time, I was still operating as a spiritual leader. The only difference was that I wore a suit. I would come and pray in tongues, but at night I would light candles and ring bells to invoke the Ajagurajah spirit. So, all the miracles I performed were in the name of Ajagurajah, not Christ. It is the same thing many pastors in Ghana are doing. They are not winning souls with Jesus Christ,” he revealed.
