A 33-year-old young lady, Latifah Bumaye who was seen in a video lashing the late 90-year-old, the late Akua Denteh, has been arrested by the police.
Last week a video went viral when an old woman, Akua Denteh was seen been lashed leading to his death at Kafabah in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah.
The late Akua Denteh was lynched to death for allegedly being a witch.The police earlier arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in the act.
Information available to First News has it that the lady who was seen in the viral video has been arrested. Latifah Bumaye was arrested at Kejewu Bator near Abrumase under the Salaga Police Divisional Command in the Savannah Region.
Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Amos Yelisong disclosed that they had information that the suspected was hiding at Kejewu Bator, a team was despatched to the place leading to her arrest.
