The Mayor for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis in the Western Region, Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam is reported dead.
First News has gathered that the late Mayor died whiles on admission at the University of Ghana Hospital in Accra. Unconfirmed reports has that the Mayor died from COVID-19.
The Presiding Member of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, John Kwesi Buckman has confirmed the death of the Mayor.
Mr. Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam would be remembered for his stance against lateness to work especially from public and civil servants in the Metropolis.
Since the news broke out the metropolis has been thrown into a state of mourning.
