Another Fire Outbreak At Dagombaline In Kumasi

There is another fire outbreak at Dagombaline in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region 24 hours after fire destroyed some shops at Aboabo.

Fire tenders from the Ghana National Fire Service are unable to have access the place to bring the fire under control.

Dagombaline , a slum is mostly inhabited by scrap dealers and head potters popularly called Kayayies. Several wooden structures belonging to the squatters were burnt into ashes .

Similar fire in 2020 destroyed items running into millions of Ghana cedis at the same place.

The Ashanti Regional Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO),Kwabena Nsenkyire who was the scene of the fire said he was at a funeral when they had a call that there was a fore outbreak at the place.

He noted that upon getting there the Police were already there controlling affairs. Mr Nsenkyire says they are going to sit down and see what they could do about the situation.
