The Wenchi East District of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of the Mid North Ghana Conference of the SDA Church in the Bono Region has awarded nine girls for keeping their virginity.
The award is aimed to motivate young girls, ages between 10 to 18 years of age, to be self-disciplined in all their endeavors.
Mrs Elizabeth Fosuah used the opportunity to call on young girls to keep their virginity until they get married.
She further called on parents to endeavor to educate their children to be self-disciplined in all their endeavors.
The church presented an undisclosed amount of money, certificates and parcels to the awardees.
