Former MP Calls For Fair Play In Conduct Of Elections

An Ashanti  Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman hopeful,  Hon. Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi has called for fair play to ensure that the rules and regulations for the conduct of elections are respected to move the party forward.

He frowned on the way and manner polling station elections were reportedly conducted in the night.

According to him, what is going on in  the  party is bad and that the party is digging  its own grave by adopting nocturnal elections to select favourites to fill polling station executives positions.

Hon. Owusu-Aduomi said  it is unheard of that people are made to cast their votes in the night which practice he condemned in no uncertain terms.

Speaking to the media in Kumasi , Hon. Owusu-Aduomi noted that those who are going to vote and bring the  NPP  to power in the 2024  election  are being treated unfairly  by sidelining  them which practice he said could be suicidal if unchecked.

The former Member of Parliament for Ejisu stated that the  party is bigger than any individual member hence the need for members to work for the bigger interest of the party.

The former Deputy Minister of Roads and  Highways who is aspiring to lead the NPP in the Ashanti region as the chairman said if given the  opportunity he would not be armchair chairman but rather visit the constituencies and interact with party members executives at the grassroots and move the party forward.

He announced that, he is constructing three Classroom blocks for Hwereso, Korase  and  Essienimpong as well as a 70-stalls Market at Bonwire to improve the lot of the people in these communities and hoped his personal contribution would inform his choice as the Regional chairman of the Party.
