13 Students Benefit From Okere DCE Students Scholarship

 

Hon Daniel Kenneth, District Chief Executive of Okere District, has underscored the need for a behavioural change in tackling the sanitation problems bedevilling the country.

According to him, poor sanitation possesses as a threat to undermine the health of the people hence it deserves much attention to combat it.

Hon Daniel Kenneth made these remarks during a ceremony to sponsor 13 young residents of Okere District to the School of Hygiene at Ho in the Volta Region.

The move according to the DCE, was to train sanitation officers who would help consolidate the gains made so far by the Okere District Assembly in its quest to improving sanitation in the area.

Hon Daniel Kenneth disclosed that the 13 beneficiaries after their two-year training will undergo an industrial attachment exercise with some prominent sanitation management institutions in the country in a bid to improve on their skills.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to ORIGINAL FM were full of praise to the Member of Parliament of Okere Hon Dan Botwe and the DCE Hon Daniel Kenneth for the hundred percent tuition fee package and promised to impact positively to improving sanitation in the district after their training.
