UNA Calls For Justice For Murdered Borae Ahenfie Chief And Two Others

A group calling itself the United Nchumurumang Association (UNA) has launched a campaign calling for justice for the murdered Borae Ahenfie Chief Nana Meebo and two others Sabenya Mensah and Kwadwo Barnabas in the Krachi Nchumuru District in the Oti Region.

The campaign was launched by the group on the Social Media platforms calling for justice for the three who are believed to have been killed a gang of Konkomba men from a nearby community.

The United Nchumurumang Association (UNA) in a press release stated that, “This attack is not the first of its kind in the area as the association can attest to similar incidents of which some Komkomba men rise violently to attacks Nchumurus with firearms and other deadly weapons in most cases over land disputes, and even over trivial issues. Some of these incidents though reported to the police, victims are yet to be served justice.”

So far 14 persons have been arrested in connection with the incident and they are currently police custody at Kete Krachi.

The District Chief Executive for Krachi Nchumuru, Nkrumah Kwasi Ogyile who visited the community assured the residents that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
