Prophet Kumchacha advises men to marry more than one woman if they want to live long

Prophet Nicolas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has given an eye-catching piece of advice to men, stating that they should marry more than one woman if they want to live long.

The leader of Heavens Gate Ministries stated that it is not a sin for men to marry more than one woman, arguing that the Bible does not explicitly forbid polygamy, contrary to popular belief.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on September 14, 2024, he explained that the only New Testament reference advocating for a single wife came from the Apostle Paul, who offered it merely as advice, not as a commandment. Prophet Kumchacha emphasized that men are free to make their own decisions on the matter.

He went on to say that having multiple wives could contribute to a longer life, as managing a marriage with just one wife can be difficult.

“Marriage comes with challenges, so I always tell men to marry at least two or three women if they want to live long,” he said.

The prophet added, “If God blesses me with wealth like Kwame Despite or Ofori Sarpong, I would do the same. As a prophet, I challenge any pastor to show me a verse from Genesis to Revelation that says having more than one wife will send you to hell—it doesn’t exist.”

He also reiterated that Paul’s advice in 1 Timothy concerning marriage is not a rigid rule and that people are free to follow or disregard it.

Prophet Kumchacha further noted that Paul’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 14:34, which suggests women should not preach in church, is often ignored by many churches today.
