Michael Blackson reveals his Ghanaian assistant faces threats after exposing theft of his Investment

American-Ghanaian comedian Michael Blackson has shared details of a troubling situation following his recent posts about an investment gone wrong in Ghana.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the popular comedian revealed that his investment in Ghana had been stolen. He expressed frustration, noting that he might have to rely on GoFundMe donations to keep his school free for children in the country.

On Thursday, Blackson disclosed in a new tweet that his assistant in Ghana had received threats following his public complaints.

He wrote on X: “My assistant in Ghana called me yesterday and said he was getting threats because of my tweets. Let me get this straight: I decide to come home because of the love and passion I have for my country, but I get robbed. Since I don’t have the power to fight back, I decided to tell the world about my problem, and now they’re threatening my people. Smh.”

Blackson also mentioned the research he conducted before making the investment.

“I did my research on Ghana and bonds. In their history, there has never been an issue. So, I thought the interest could keep my school running. $10k a month would cover teachers, cooks, cleaners, security, lunch, electricity, water, books, etc.

“I figured $1 million would generate $10k per month. I received one payment, and then it stopped. It’s been two years, and they’ve had my $1 million while I’ve had to find $10k each month. Now you know why I’m pissed,” Michael Blackson explained.
