Guru secures resounding victory in UG SRC presidential election

Guru wins UG SRC presidential election

After a dramatic turn of events, Ghanaian rapper Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru, has won the University of Ghana’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC) presidential election.

Guru and his running mate, Jeffery Adu-Yeboah, secured 9,455 votes, representing 50 percent of the total votes cast, out of 18,659.

This victory comes just days after the University of Ghana’s Appeals Board overturned the disqualification of Guru and Emmanuel Owusu Amponsah from the SRC presidential race.

Initially, the SRC disqualified Guru, citing his failure to meet the required qualifications. While the Judicial Board upheld this decision, the Vice Dean later directed that the names of Guru, Amponsah, and their running mates be reinstated on the list of candidates.

Guru’s victory is likely to be celebrated by fans both on and off campus, given his prominence in the Ghanaian music industry.

Congratulations to Guru!
