Ghanaian politician and social commentator Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has vowed not to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in Ghana’s upcoming 2024 elections.

Formerly associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the outspoken social and political activist revealed on UTV’s United Showbiz program that he would not support Dr. Bawumia or the NPP in the elections.

When asked about his preferred candidate, A Plus declined to specify, only emphasizing that he would not vote for the NPP or Dr. Bawumia.

However, the independent parliamentary candidate for the Gomoa Central Constituency predicted that John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the 2024 elections and be sworn in as Ghana’s next president.

A Plus also criticized the ongoing demonstrations organized by Democracy Hub, condemning the vandalism of property as unwise.

He added that, while democracy is practiced in Ghana, it does not give demonstrators the right to act recklessly, stating, “I do not condone nonsense.”
