I’m not rude, just Confident – Nana Aba Anamoah responds to criticism

Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has addressed claims that she is rude, firmly denying the label in a recent interview.

Speaking on Joy Prime, the outspoken broadcaster clarified that her directness is often mistaken for rudeness, but in reality, she is simply a confident person.

“I hear that all the time, and I don’t apologize for it. I don’t know why anyone would say I’m rude just because I like to speak the truth as it is. Most of the time, I’m polite—though my politeness can come with a subtle, sarcastic touch,” she explained.

She noted that many women hesitate to express confidence for fear of being labeled rude and hopes to change that narrative through her Women of Valour initiative.

“The problem is that some women are afraid to showcase their abilities because they don’t want to be seen as ‘too knowing.’ But there’s nothing wrong with saying, ‘This is what I bring to the table,’” she emphasized.

Through her advocacy, Anamoah aims to inspire women to embrace their confidence without fear of judgment.
