The 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) brought a dazzling wave of celebration to the capital on May 10, 2025, transforming the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre into the heartbeat of Ghana’s entertainment world.

An unforgettable evening unfolded as music lovers, industry heavyweights, and style icons gathered under one roof to honour the country’s finest musical talents. From luminous lights to high-octane performances, the ceremony offered a rich fusion of sound, style, and showmanship.

King Promise stole the spotlight as the night’s top honouree, earning the prestigious Artiste of the Year award. His win capped a fiercely competitive category, where he stood out among a star-studded field including Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kwaku Smoke.

The awards also celebrated a wide spectrum of talent across genres. Artists like Ayisi, Empress Gifty, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata, Esther Godwyll, Kweku Smoke, KiDi, Team Eternity Ghana, and Tulenkey were all recognized for their standout contributions to Ghana’s dynamic music scene.

Beyond the accolades and glamour, the evening carved out a deeply emotional moment with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to gospel icon Yaw Sarpong. The honour acknowledged his decades-long influence and legacy within the gospel music community.

In all, 32 awards were presented, punctuating a night that paid tribute to both emerging stars and established legends, reinforcing TGMA’s status as a cornerstone of Ghanaian cultural celebration.
