Ahoufe Patri opens up about facing ‘sex-for-roles’ pressure early in her career

Ghanaian actress Priscilla Opoku Agyeman, popularly known as Ahoufe Patri, has opened up about encountering sex-for-role propositions early in her acting career.

In an interview on Max TV, she revealed that this issue extends beyond the film industry and is prevalent in many professions.

“The issue of sex for roles isn’t limited to acting—it happens everywhere. When I was 19, a producer showed interest in my talent but insisted on getting to know me personally first,” she shared.

At the time, she was still new to the industry but stood firm in her values.

“I was in love with my boyfriend and couldn’t imagine doing that with another man. The producer was furious,” she recalled.

Years later, after rising to fame as Ahoufe Patri, she crossed paths with the same producer—only this time, he didn’t recognize her.

“He didn’t remember me and even said he was a big fan,” Ahoufe Patri divulged.
