Andy Dosty Recounts Shocking Encounter with Woman Who Claimed He Impregnated Her—Until the Truth Unfolded

Andy Dosty

Ghanaian radio host and media figure Andy Dosty has opened up about a surreal and unsettling moment when a woman falsely believed he had impregnated her, only to later realize he was the victim of identity theft.

Speaking during an interview on Joy Prime, the Hitz FM presenter revealed how widespread impersonation on social media has created numerous problems for him, including scams and bizarre confrontations.

“There’s a certain account bearing my name, and they’re using it to collect money from people. I’ve had to defend myself and report these accounts multiple times,” Andy explained, frustrated by how frequently his name and image are exploited online.

Recalling one of the most bizarre instances, Andy recounted how a young woman and her mother showed up at his workplace unannounced.

“One day, I came to work and was told someone was waiting for me at the reception. I went out and greeted them,” he shared.

According to Andy, the mother then turned to her daughter and asked if he was the man they were looking for.

“The mother turned to her daughter and asked if I was the one. The lady said no. I asked what the issue was, and the mother said they were looking for Andy Dosty because he had impregnated her daughter,” he said.

The situation quickly de-escalated after the woman admitted Andy was not the individual who had deceived her. Instead, it was someone operating a fake account under his name who had misled her entirely.

Andy Dosty noted that such incidents have become all too familiar as he continues to deal with impersonators damaging his name and reputation in the digital space.
