God Used Him to Bless Me – Ananzo on Davido’s $5K Gift
Months after a viral TikTok performance earned him a life-changing gift from Afrobeats icon Davido, Ghanaian content creator and music promoter Ananzo says he hasn’t spent a cedi of the $5,000 he received.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Takoradi-based TikTok star confirmed that the funds remain untouched, hinting only that his plans will be revealed later.
“I have not touched the $5,000 Davido gave me. It is there,” he said. “It will come in the media soon.”
The windfall came in April 2025 after Ananzo shared a heartfelt rendition of Davido’s hit “With You” featuring Omah Lay. Filmed at a local car wash, the video struck a chord online and soon landed on Davido’s radar. Moved by the performance, the Nigerian star reshared it and pledged $5,000 to Ananzo.
“5K US FOR YOU,” Davido wrote on TikTok. True to his word, his team made good on the promise.
For Ananzo, the gesture was nothing short of divine. “I believe God transformed himself into Davido to come and bless me and my team,” he said.
The moment marked a dramatic shift in his online journey. His TikTok following ballooned from 91,000 to over 600,000, and the video racked up more than 16 million views and 2 million likes.
Despite the viral fame and global attention, Ananzo hasn’t let it change his daily grind. He still works at the car wash that served as the backdrop for his breakthrough moment while focusing on music promotion and building his brand.
