Sonnie Badu shares key tips for successful friendships and relationships

Sonnie Badu

Renowned Ghanaian Gospel musician and pastor, Sonnie Badu, has shared insights on building strong and lasting friendships and relationships.

In a video posted on Instagram, the ‘Amazing God’ composer emphasized that all relationships are transactional, requiring both giving and receiving to thrive.

“Friendship and relationships are always transactional. If you give, they take, and if they give, you also take. If you’ve lost friends or people suddenly stop picking your calls, it likely means they were giving while you weren’t reciprocating,” Badu explained.

While acknowledging the importance of giving, he clarified that money should not be the foundation of relationships.

Instead, he stressed the significance of quality time, commitment, and emotional support, which he believes form the bedrock of long-lasting bonds.

“You don’t always have to give money. Sometimes, your time, commitment, and counsel are just as valuable. Whenever you find a friend you see yourself lasting with, understand the philosophy of friendship,” Badu advised.

His message serves as a reminder that genuine relationships require effort from both sides, fostering mutual respect and appreciation.
