A spirited promotional rally for Lilwin’s upcoming movie spiraled into chaos at Kumasi’s Kejetia Market on July 30, 2025, after the actor physically confronted a man in a dispute over sprayed money.

Kwadwo Nkansah, known widely as Lilwin, was promoting Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero, a movie honoring Burkina Faso’s current leader. Wearing a military outfit that mirrored the film’s theme, Lilwin paraded through the busy marketplace with his cast, drawing large crowds intrigued by the spectacle.

The excitement escalated when the actor climbed atop a vehicle covered in promotional posters and began tossing cash into the crowd. The unexpected giveaway triggered cheers and applause from eager bystanders.

However, the atmosphere shifted abruptly when a man emerged from behind and attempted to mount the vehicle, apparently trying to seize money directly from Lilwin’s hand. Offended by the intrusion, Lilwin responded by striking the man, punching and kicking him as onlookers watched in shock.

After the brief brawl, the actor was seen exchanging words with the individual before the man was pulled away by an unidentified person.

The scene quickly descended into disorder as the growing crowd surged forward, jostling for a share of the cash. What began as a promotional celebration turned into a frenzy.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero is scheduled to premiere across major cinemas in Ghana on August 2, 2025.
