Popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has clapped back at producer MOG Beatz following public accusations that he sold songs to an international company without crediting the beatmakers behind them.
The dispute escalated after MOG Beatz revealed on X, on August 19, 2025, that he had pulled down Shatta Wale’s Reign and Wondaboy albums from Apple Music. According to him, Shatta Wale had erased producer credits and struck a multi-million-dollar deal with a foreign distributor.
MOG called the arrangement fraudulent, stressing that those who produced the tracks were deliberately excluded from agreements and rightful payments. He warned that unless the issue was addressed, more of Shatta Wale’s catalog would be removed from streaming platforms.
“You sell my beats, erase my credit, then buy luxury cars,” MOG blasted in a post that fueled the controversy.
But Shatta Wale swiftly pushed back, quoting the post on X to remind MOG of favors he had extended in the past. The dancehall artiste argued that he had supported the producer financially, covering medical expenses for his family and even buying studio gear. He insisted those gestures counted as compensation for the music MOG produced.
“When I was paying for your mother’s eyes problems, medical bills, giving you money to buy studio equipments as payment for the productions, that was scam right. No problem!!!!! It’s people like you that don’t make artiste wanna even help some of these upcoming producers like you. Come let’s sit man to man and let me see if you can tell me this in my face. Ungrateful pig. Very foolish boy!!” Shatta Wale fired back.
