Ghanaian Gospel musician, Jack Alolome, has said his music career has soared to unexpected heights since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) returned to power in 2024.
The veteran artiste, who publicly endorsed the party during the heated election season with his campaign-themed song ‘JM Begye Yen’, revealed that his bold move has ushered in new opportunities. Speaking on Hitz FM on October 3, 2025, he described the turnaround as remarkable.
According to Alolome, his support for the NDC was never about becoming a politician but about speaking up as a citizen. “Being a gospel musician doesn’t mean I should be silent about the ongoings in the country. Me releasing a song in support of the NDC doesn’t mean I was going into politics; I just supported the NDC,” he explained.
Since the party’s victory, the singer said his bookings, sponsorship deals, and visibility have all multiplied. “Right now, my career has blown up too much; every day, important individuals are calling me. Everything has gone up. Bookings and my fees have all gone up. I am a big man now,” he noted.
To demonstrate his growth, Alolome disclosed that he is even financing a major event from his own pocket. “The show that I am organising right now was all from my own pocket,” he said.
This success comes after a challenging period when Alolome lost performance opportunities because of his open alignment with the NDC during the 2024 campaign. Today, he believes that decision, once criticized, has become the turning point of his career.
