Otto Addo Sets Sights on Victory as Ghana Nears World Cup Qualification

Otto Addo

Black Stars coach Otto Addo says Ghana will push for a strong finish in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers as they prepare to face Comoros in their final match.

The crucial fixture is set for Sunday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium, where the Black Stars need only a point to confirm their fifth World Cup appearance in six tournaments. But Addo insists his side is targeting nothing short of a win.

“This is where everybody should show how professional they are. I’ve seen a lot in football, a lot. I once led with my team 4-0, and we lost 6-4,” he told reporters ahead of the clash.

“In football, anything can happen. We’re not done until we’re done. I think we want to end this qualification with a victory. This is for sure.”

Ghana currently sit three points ahead of Madagascar at the top of the group. Kickoff for the final qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
