Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay, has once again shed light on a challenge that continues to shadow women in the entertainment scene, dealing with unwanted advances from men.
Speaking in a recent interview with Headless YouTuber, the “Survival” singer was asked whether such advances still come her way despite her fame, success, and strong public image.
Wendy didn’t shy away from the question, admitting that such experiences are all too familiar for women.
“Of course. Once you’re a woman, that comes naturally. It’s very normal. It doesn’t stop,” she said.
The award-winning artiste noted that attraction between men and women is a natural part of life, which often seeps into professional environments like the music industry.
“The attraction between a male and a female is always there. As a woman, you just need to know what lies ahead of you. It’s a struggle, but you have to face it,” she added.
Sharing how she navigates such situations, Wendy stressed the importance of dignity, discipline, and a clear sense of self. She advised women to use their beauty positively while guarding their integrity.
“As a woman, you should know who you are and your values. Beauty can open doors for you, so make use of it, but never compromise your morals. Have principles and stick to them, no matter the circumstance,” Wendy Shay advised.
