Bhim Festival to Light Up Accra Sports Stadium on Christmas Eve with GTA Partnership

Stonebwoy

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has announced a new partnership with Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group Limited to host the 2025 Bhim Festival, which will take place on December 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The festival, originally planned for December 26, has been rescheduled to Christmas Eve to avoid a date clash with Taste the Culture, a signature event of the Blackstar Experience Secretariat under the December in GH celebrations.

According to the GTA, the collaboration emphasizes its continued efforts to boost Ghana’s creative economy and spotlight the nation as Africa’s foremost cultural and entertainment destination.

“This support reflects our dedication to amplifying the creative arts as a major pillar of tourism growth,” said Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.

A statement released by Bright Asempa Tsadidey, Director of Corporate Affairs, also cited Houadjeto’s remarks that “The December in GH initiative continues to create opportunities that unite Ghanaians and attract visitors to experience our culture, music, and hospitality.”

Organizers have confirmed the Accra Sports Stadium as the official venue.

This year’s Bhim Festival is expected to be one of the centerpiece attractions of the December in GH calendar, featuring celebrated Ghanaian and international performers in an energetic showcase of music, culture, and holiday spirit.

The Ghana Tourism Authority reiterated its commitment to working with creative industry partners to deliver world-class events under the December in GH banner, further solidifying Ghana’s reputation as Africa’s festive capital.
