Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah is challenging women to rethink Valentine’s Day presents for their partners.
In a post on X on February 12, 2026, she encouraged ladies to move away from the typical boxer shorts and singlets, gifts she says have lost their charm with men.
Nana Aba Anamoah suggested women aim for more memorable and luxurious gestures. She highlighted options like Hermès ties, designer slippers, or perfumes from Louis Vuitton as ways to impress.
“Stop ordering boxer shorts and singlets for your men as Valentine’s Day gifts. Do better. Buy them original LV perfumes, Hermès ties, and slippers. Replace their phones. Pay for dinner or lunch. Better still, buy them a plot of land at Kasoa,” she advised.
