Efya’s management has cleared the air after social media was flooded with claims that the singer secretly married Nigerian artiste Tomi Thomas in Accra on Valentine’s Day.
Reports circulating online suggested the two tied the knot on February 14, 2026, during a private ceremony at a residence in Trassaco Phase II. Videos from what appeared to be a celebration quickly made the rounds, fuelling speculation that a wedding had taken place.
But in a response to Adom FM, Efya’s management dismissed the marriage claims. They said the gathering was a traditional knocking ceremony attended strictly by close relatives and friends, not a wedding.
They explained that a small celebration followed the private rites, and it was footage from that moment that later surfaced online.
“The whole thing was not supposed to come out. So, I am wondering why someone would share the videos. Do you know how many people do knocking and nothing happens after? So why would people call it marriage? Because the family is not done, there will even be pressure,” they stated.
