“Why Would You Make the Father of Your Three Children Look Like a Nobody?” – MC Yaa Yeboah Questions Afua Asantewaa

MC Yaa Yeboah

Ghanaian Media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has commented on the conversation surrounding the tensions between Afua Asantewaa and her husband, offering a pointed critique of how the situation has been handled in public.

During a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz, she recognised that Afua has every right to feel upset about issues in her marriage. However, she questioned the decision to air those grievances online, arguing that taking such a personal matter to social media only fuels unnecessary attention.

Yaa Yeboah stressed that beyond whatever disagreements exist, Afua’s husband is still the father of her three children, and that reality should guide how he is spoken about in public.

She suggested that the matter could have been dealt with more privately from the outset, noting that the eventual letter Afua wrote showed there were more controlled ways to communicate her concerns without drawing widespread public scrutiny.

“People will not shut up because you have given them access. They will swipe and swipe, they won’t stop. As smart and intelligent as you are, you knew there was a letter you could have written to address everything, but you chose to open up and express on social media. No one has said you should vent, but who are you talking to?

“The people you chose to open up to, they don’t care, and that is the harsh reality. Why would you make the father of your three children look like a nobody, and that does not embarrass the man, but rather says a lot about you as a woman; it is very disrespectful,” she said.

She further warned that platforms like social media are rarely the right outlet for sensitive personal struggles, insisting that once such issues are made public, the fallout is almost always negative.
