Diana Asamoah Appeals for Government Contract Under Mahama’s ‘Big Push’

Gospel singer Diana Asamoah has publicly appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to secure a role under the government’s Big Push infrastructure programme, saying she is ready and qualified to contribute.

The appeal surfaced after a video from a discussion on Angel FM began circulating widely on social media, drawing attention to her request and sparking heated debate online.

She directly made her case for inclusion in the project, stressing both her nationality and her readiness to work. She stated:

“I am very serious. I am praying and pleading with President John Dramani Mahama to consider me in the Big Push Contract. I am also a Ghanaian, and I am fit to work,”

Her comments quickly triggered mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some questioned the motivation behind her appeal, others pointed out her past political leanings, recalling her known support for the opposition New Patriotic Party.

Critics also revived claims that she may have benefited from a road contract during the previous NPP-led government, further fuelling public discussion around her latest request.

The Big Push initiative, launched under the administration of John Dramani Mahama, is a major national infrastructure drive aimed at expanding Ghana’s road network over a five-year period. The programme is reported to carry an estimated investment value of $10 billion.
