Gomoa Central MP Kwame A Plus says his days of trading insults in public are behind him, pointing to faith and experience as the reasons for his shift in tone.
In an interview on Joy Prime, the musician-turned-politician reflected on a past version of himself that was quick to lash out at critics and opponents. He acknowledged that his younger years were defined by confrontation and sharp words.
“These days, I don’t insult people. Back then, when we were young, I would insult you. But now, I don’t do that,” he said.
To explain what changed, he turned to a biblical analogy, arguing that character can influence opportunity even when one is accepted.
“God accepts prostitutes. God loves prostitutes. But when it was time for someone to give birth to His son, He used a virgin. Why didn’t God use a prostitute to give birth to Jesus?
“It means you can be that person people say is outspoken, but when it’s time to give positions, they will say, ‘We like you, but we won’t give it to you.”
He said that realization forced him to rethink how he presents himself in public life. While he insists he has dropped the insults, he maintains that he will not stay silent when it matters.
“So I’m not going to insult you, but I’m going to tell you the truth,” A Plus stated.
