Kisa Gbekle is in no rush to share her life with anyone and she is making that position clear.
The actress and producer says she is single by choice and has no interest in actively looking for a partner. In her view, a relationship offers little beyond intimacy, something she does not consider enough reason to commit.
Speaking on UTV’s Atuu show with Nana Romeo on April 18, 2026, she challenged the idea that a romantic partner is essential, questioning what value a man would truly add to her life outside of sex.
While the host highlighted the importance of companionship, Kisa pushed back. As a mother, she says the emotional attention often associated with relationships is already present in her home. Simple gestures like checking in or asking about her day are things she experiences daily with her son, which she finds sufficient.
That, she explained, leaves her with no pressing desire to be in a relationship.
Still, she is not completely closed off. Marriage, she noted, remains a possibility if the right person comes along. But she drew a firm line between that and casual dating, saying she has outgrown relationships built purely on physical connection.
Having been through that phase and having a child from it, she says she has no intention of revisiting it.
If marriage does happen, she insists it will come with clear boundaries, including adherence to her faith.
“I am single but not searching. If I get a man, what would the person do for me aside sexual intercourse? ‘How are you, I’m fine. How did you sleep? My son does that every day.’ If God permits and I get someone who wants to marry me, I will go for it.
“But for just casual sexual intercourse, because I’ve done that several times and given birth from it, I’m not interested in all of those things again,” Kisa Gbekle stated.
