Olivetheboy has opened up about his preferences in relationships, revealing that he finds dating women his age more demanding and leans instead towards older partners.
In an interview with MC Portfolio on Kumasi-based Angel FM, the Ghanaian artiste was asked about some of the most unusual direct messages he has received from fans. He recalled a striking request from a female admirer.
“The follower told me that even if I cannot be with her, then she wants to have one child with me. But this was a long time ago. At that time, I was still younger,” he disclosed.
Although he has never met the fan in person, Olivetheboy noted that he was aware she was older, which ties into his general preference. He explained that he is more comfortable dating older women rather than those within his age group.
“I like them older though; my age mates come with so much stress,” he disclosed.
Pressed further on the specific age bracket he is comfortable with, the musician said he is drawn to women between 26 and 35 years. However, he added that while he prefers older partners, women above 40 feel a bit beyond his comfort zone.
Shifting to music industry conversations, Olivetheboy also commented on the upcoming 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards set for May 9, 2026. He expressed optimism about Wendy Shay’s chances of winning Artiste of the Year.
“I am very happy for her. I hope she wins it because everyone on that list deserves it; that is why they have been nominated. She has done well for herself,” he stated.
