Ghanaian media personality, Sammy Flex, has broken his silence following a shake-up within Shatta Wale’s management. Formerly the Artiste Manager, Sammy Flex will now serve as the Media and Public Relations Manager, a move that aligns more closely with his media background.
The changes were announced by Shatta Wale himself via a Facebook post detailing a broader restructuring aimed at strengthening the SM brand. Sammy Flex responded to the announcement in a video shared on Sammy Flex TV on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, offering insights into his transition.
“Ever since I joined the Shatta Movement team, many people who know me know my background as a journalist, PR person and all. So when I was given the managerial position I couldn’t sit down and allow that aspect to be empty. I had to combine forces like Captain Planet,” he explained.
Though officially holding the title of Artiste Manager, Sammy revealed he had been handling media and PR duties behind the scenes for some time. His reassignment formalizes those contributions.
Reflecting on the reshuffle, he said one of his early goals had been to bring structure and polish to Shatta Wale’s public persona—but he now sees the importance of distributing responsibilities across a specialized team.
“It is now time to bring in other energies so that I can even do more here,” he added.
Sammy emphasized that managing the Shatta Movement brand is not a one-man task, pointing out the immense scope and demands of the job.
“One thing I believe is that the Shatta Movement job is not a one-person job. Those who are closer to it understand it and they know that you can’t do it alone. These people have been there. They are not new people. They have been there playing different roles but now they have been given specific roles to play to make sure the team runs,” he noted.
As part of the new structure, the team welcomes several familiar faces stepping into clearly defined roles:
Juwaid Abdallah Sika will now serve as General Manager for Bookings and Requests.
Gifty Nkrumah takes on the role of Road Manager.
Daniel Kwesi Kpingbi is named Personal Assistant to Shatta Wale.
Solomon Ashong (Solash) will coordinate regional merchandising efforts.
Kester Ashong Teye (Nawtyboi) and Stanley Dartey (Paq) have been appointed to the Music Production Team.
