Yaa Jackson Prioritizes Fans Over Awards, Praises Shatta Wale for Backing Her New Single

Yaa Jackson says she draws her strength not from awards or industry praise, but from the loyal support of her fans, a bond she considers more meaningful than any trophy.

The Ghanaian actress-turned-singer, who recently released her single Moses, shared her thoughts on recognition in the music industry, revealing she remains unshaken by being overlooked for accolades.

“Awards are nice, but they’re not everything. I’m blessed with amazing fans, and that’s what matters. Sure, recognition is great, but I’m not defined by awards. I’ll keep making music that connects with my audience,” Yaa stated.

For her, the real reward lies in creating songs that resonate deeply with listeners. Artistic impact, not applause, remains her compass.

Yaa also acknowledged the hurdles that come with collaborations in the industry but expressed gratitude for the opportunities she’s had to work with fellow musicians.

“Getting features can be tough, but I believe in my music. I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with talented artistes and I’m grateful for that. The music community lifts each other up, and I appreciate that vibe,” she said.

She went on to applaud dancehall star Shatta Wale for lending his support to her latest project.

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Shatta Wale, the king, for his incredible support on my new single, Moses,” she added.

While her music continues to evolve, so does her public image. Yaa Jackson is no stranger to criticism, especially regarding her provocative fashion and bold social media presence, but she stands by her style as part of her brand.

Unapologetic and undeterred, she insists that authenticity is her edge in an industry where image often overshadows substance. Staying true to herself, Yaa continues to chart her own path in Ghana’s entertainment scene.
