“Will You Pay Their Fees?” – Vicky Zugah Slams Nana Romeo Over Nikki Samonas Interview

Vicky Zugah

Vicky Zugah has stepped into the conversation surrounding Nikki Samonas’ recent remarks on relationships, adding a sharp social media response that has intensified the debate.

The issue picked up momentum after Samonas’ appearance on Okay FM with Nana Romeo, where she was asked about marriage and having children. The line of questioning, familiar to many public figures, quickly became the focal point online as her answers challenged long-standing expectations about settling down.

Zugah did not hold back when she reacted on Instagram. “Romeo always seems to be bothered about people without kids. Will you buy them baby food and diapers or you will baby sit and pay their fees? 🙄” she wrote, pushing back against what she sees as unnecessary pressure placed on women.

Her post struck a chord with followers. Among those who responded was Instagram user @keziah_davis, who wrote: “@vickyzugah my sister say again. Her in laws won’t even be feeding the kids for her… yet they’ll talk”

Rather than leave it there, Zugah returned with another comment that broadened the point beyond the interview itself. “@keziah_davis it’s time to move on from this question. This is 2026,Everyone’s priority is different.”

The online exchange mirrors the position Samonas outlined during the interview. She stressed that marriage and childbirth should not be used as markers to judge a person’s life.

“Love is a verb; it is a doing word, an action word. But we don’t base our decision to get married on love alone. If you go on social media, there are a lot of beautiful couples, yet many of them are divorced.

“In the same way, I say giving birth shouldn’t be a yardstick to heaven, marriage isn’t a yardstick to heaven. I want my peace of mind,” she said.

She also spoke about her personal experience with relationships, noting that while she has not been married, dating has been fulfilling.

“I am in a relationship… dating is a very nice thing. I haven’t been married before, so I have no experience with marriage. But if you ask me, I can only speak about dating, and I will say it is a very nice thing.

“If I get married and come back here, then you can ask me the difference between marriage and dating,” Nikki Samonas further stated.
